Duties

As a SUPERVISORY BUDGET ANALYST at the GS-0560-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Provides budgetary and technical leadership for the development of cost estimates associated with long-range multi-year studies. Serves as the Chief, DSCU Budget Office. Supervises and directs the preparation, formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and analysis of the budget for assigned organization(s). Provides guidance, direction, and control to all organizational elements and subordinate echelons on all phases of budget formulation. Receives, distributes, and administers all funds issued to organization, to include annual funding program, allotments, allowances obligation authorities and other fund instruments. Supervises through subordinate supervisors, work at the GS-11 and GS-12 level engaged in budget formulation, execution, and analysis work.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Leading and supervising a diverse team of individuals to include assigning duties, prioritizing projects, evaluating performance and providing guidance on complex and/or unique assignments; Preparing, executing and analyzing the budget for an organization; Receiving, distributing, and administering all funds issued to organization; Providing budgetary and technical leadership for the development of cost estimates; Presenting funding problems and solutions for solving them. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
