About the Position: Performs administrative and technical tasks as an academic records clerk. Serves as class coordinator for all Army Sustainment University (ASU Courses include Officer, Noncommissioned Officers, and Warrant Officer, Professional Military Education (PME), and numerous functional courses, seminars, and refresher courses.
Duties
Advises on available courses, prerequisites, recommended college credits IAW the American Council on Education (ACE) accreditation criteria, enrollment eligibility, and funding/tuition procedures.
Responsible for creating personnel files in various academic records systems to include the Digital Training Management System (DTMS) and the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) for resident and staff and faculty students.
Ensures enrollment/graduation data is entered in DTMS/ATRRS IAW Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Establishes log by fiscal year and updates/maintains daily all reliefs, recycles, and early graduation actions processed.
Coordinates directly with ASU colleges/departments for issuance of graduation documents for presentation on scheduled graduation date.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing office support duties such as, answering phones, filing, proofreading/editing correspondence, providing customer service, updating training records, maintaining databases or spreadsheets, preparing academic reports; utilizing office automation software/equipment to perform duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Business Management.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
