About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist and advisor to the Chief, Capabilities Integration Division, Headquarters, U.S. Army Materiel, G-3, for all matters relative to logistics planning, acquisition planning and management, and Army Transformation integration.
Duties
Develop and write policies and ensure that policies and procedures serve to promote and enhance the enterprise planning and analysis, strategic integration, operational systems integration, fiscal integration, and manpower integration.
Authority and subject matter expert (SME) providing functional advice and support on various strategic work groups that are involved with logistics planning, modernization, acquisition planning and Army transformational integration.
Provide technical advice on the Army planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) system's impact on sustainment related materiel systems.
Exercise full range of supervisory personnel management and authority in directing a staff of civilian personnel and provides staff oversight in support of Army future capabilities.
Provide staff supervision to support AMC principals at regular and special program review meetings and forums.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Obtain and maintain Special-Sensitive (4) Top Secret (TS) Compartmented Information security clearance.
- 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
- Acquisition Certification, Life Cycle Logisitics, Advanced, within 4 years of job entry.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: managing and leading diverse teams; executing advanced concepts, principles and practices related to the materiel requirements and acquisition functions and systems; and performing task associated with the assessment of the impact on sustainment of decisions made in the planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
