This FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State (JFHQ-S), Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO), Planning and Programming Branch and is part of the CA JFHQ Facilities.

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-1640-9, is to provide technical and administrative support work in operating and maintaining buildings, grounds, and other facilities, to the Planning and Programming Branch.

FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-1640-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-08 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience providing input for the planning and developing of long-term real property acquisition, development, and construction projects for the state; Experience developing project scope, preparing project estimates, drafting economic analyses, and drafting programming documents; Experience identifying possible energy conservation measures and promotes the use of Energy Conservation Programs (ECP), and Energy Conservation Savings Programs (ECSP). Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
