About the Position: Serves as a Training Specialist with the Army Joint Support Team (AJST), Mission Command Center of Excellence (MCCoE), Hurlburt Field, Florida. NOTE: Entrance on Duty will be no sooner than December 31, 2023.

Duties

As a Training Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Function as an instructor in a seminar, classroom, laboratory, or similar environment to ensure that participants/students achieve learning objectives. Synchronize and coordinate programs and activities necessary to accomplish the AJST education and training mission. Utilize expert knowledge of joint air-ground operations, the joint and Service command and control (C2) processes involved, the associated joint and Service C2 systems, and the communications systems/networks over which the C2 systems operate.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.
• The incumbent must complete the Air Combat Command (ACC) Academic Instructor Course(AIC).

Certification as an Air Combat Command Instructor includes graduation from the course for which instruction is developed or provided, passing the faculty board assessment, and completion of 180 hours of practicum through mentoring, subject matter testing, lesson preparation, test administration, and classroom and/or laboratory instruction.
