You will serve as a Marine Machinery Mechanic in the Production Resources Department C/900 of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will disassemble, clean, inspect and assess parts and components to determine the extent of wear and damage in justification of re-use or disposal.
You will clean, inspect, and perform repairs/overhauls on mechanical components and system sub-assemblies following guidelines and procedures set forth in work packages, appropriate technical manuals, drawings and blue prints.
You will remove, repair, overhaul, install, align, troubleshoot, and test Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Rapid Securing Devices and components.
You will provide assistance, training and technical guidance to lower level mechanics including WG-08 Marine Machinery Repairers, apprentices and military personnel assigned to the production shops.

- This position requires exposure to high noise levels.

- You may be required to lift, carry and help setup tools, equipment, and parts that weigh up to 45 pounds.
