The primary purpose of this position is to provide a student trainee in the Pathways Internship program with on-the-job training and guidance.
This position is term and has a Not-To-Exceed date.
Duties
DUTY 1: Lifts and carries light to medium weight, materials, and tools.
DUTY 2: Performs such duties as picking up trash and paper from grounds, raking leaves or grass, pulling weeds, watering and trimming grass, spreading abrasives and/or chemicals on icy surfaces, washing motor vehicles (by hand), and cleaning hand tools after use.
DUTY 3: Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe work environment.
DUTY 4: Maintains a clean work environment.
Requirements

- Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
- A security clearance may be required
- This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
- Position may be subject to random drug testing
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be enrolled at least half-time at a qualifying accredited institution
- Must sign a Pathways Participant Agreement
- Males 18 years or older must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guidance
- You must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Accepted for enrollment or enrolled in an approved program
- Enrollment must be at least half-time course load as defined by the education institution (typically six hours or equivalent for undergraduate and three hours or equivalent for graduate)
- Meet the qualification standards of the position

- Have and maintain a good academic standing (no less than 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 grading scale for bachelor's programs and 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 grading scale for master's program)
- This position is established under the provisions of the Pathways Program
- Selectee may be required to serve a trial period
- May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties
- The actual work performed in this position has been reviewed and determined that it does not meet any of the exemption criteria defined in 5 CFR 551. This position has been designated as nonexempt.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the generalized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Student Trainee Positions. Failure to submit transcripts, proof of acceptance or current enrollment in an accredited college/university will result in an ineligible rating.
QUALIFICATIONS:
For WG-01 grade level:: Current enrollment in a high school diploma program
