This position is part of the Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office, Department of Energy. National Nuclear Security Administration Demonstration Project: This position is covered by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Demonstration Project. The NQ-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-13/14 grade levels. As a Security Specialist, you will:

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent which demonstrates : (1) comprehensive knowledge of coordinating physical and industrial security activities; (2) the ability to direct personnel in managing physical and industrial security oversight; (3) experience in security assessments/surveys covering reviews and analyses of a wide variety of buildings, facilities, and structures to include reviews of guard force responsibilities; and (4) knowledge of equipment and manpower requirements for securing a variety of physical structures. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade/pay band any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade/pay band requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For an NQ-03 position you must have served 52 weeks at a GS-12 level or equivalent. The grade/pay band may have been in any occupation and must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade/pay band eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade/pay band, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide additional SF-50s that clearly demonstrates the one-year time-in-grade/pay band requirement has been met.
