Duties

As a Management and Program Analyst (Temporary NTE 12-months), you will perform the following duties: Serve as an expert analyst and/or advisor to executive management on a major mission or administrative program requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess management support principles, processes, and system Serve as an expert analyst and/or advisor to executive management on budget methodology and control; statistical research and performance measurement; information systems; management techniques and theories, organizational structure; planning and control systems; and public and congressional liaison Be responsible for directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a major segment of an agency-wide or department-wide program Serve as a senior advisor when representing DHS at meetings and conferences, as directed by the supervisor Maintain liaison with members of the executive staffs of HSI, ICE, and DHS, as well as with Office of Management and Budget (OMB), U.S. Government Accountability Office (U.S. GAO), and Congressional Committee staffs, as appropriate.

You qualify for the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level performing duties such as: Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing major department-wide mission or administrative programs; Providing technical assistance and directing support to management staff in matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs; Developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated management information systems focusing on long and short-range plans, policies and programs; Planning, developing, and coordinating planning management through briefings, presentations, and conferences for executive management; and Providing oversight and coordinating the identification, analysis, and issuance of policies with managers and top level officials.
