About the Position:
This position is being announced with the area of consideration of the following eligibilities:

Duties
Determine the number of employees, equipment, materials, and supplies needed at worksites.
Perform the full range of duties identical to those of subordinate employees such as maintenance,
operations and repair of structures, utilities and systems.
Provide cost estimates on equipment, manpower, and materials required for all work accomplished by
the Facility Maintenance Section.
Utilize computerized building automation systems to check, adjust, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems,
building lighting systems, access controls, and to manage energy consumption in facilities.
Maintain records on service orders, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Implement and monitor the Safety Plan and Fire Prevention and Protection Plan.
Instruct employees in procedures while providing advice when problems arise.
Research potential material vendors and contractors for the purchase of goods and services prior to
submitting purchase request documentation.
Serve as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for the acquisition of goods, services, and simple
construction contracts.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- One year supervisory probation period may be required.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- A valid state driver's license is required.
- Call back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of this position. The employee must carry a cell phone or smart mobile phone.
- Must possess a Universal Chloro-Fluorocarbon (CFC) certification prior to employment.
- Occasionally required to perform duties at other than normal duty hours such as week-ends, evenings, nights and holidays.
- The position is designated as inclement weather essential. The employee must report for and/or remain on duty in all weather conditions.

Physical Effort: Heaviest weight handled by the employee unassisted will normally be 50 pounds and with assistance 100 pounds or more. Uses lifting devices or obtains assistance in moving heavy items. Works from ladders, scaffolding and/or platforms where systems are in hard to reach places, requiring the employee to work in close quarters or in cramped positions. Work requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate tools when assembling units and replacing defective components, coordination for reading and setting gauges, checking refrigerant leaks, and adjusting controls and color discrimination to recognize color codes. Work frequently requires stooping, stretching, bending, and kneeling for long periods of time.
Working Conditions: Works indoors and outdoors on elevated structures and in cramped areas. Subject to discomfort from face masks and/or other protective devices when there is a possibility of exposure to toxic refrigerants, noxious gases; fumes and acids. Employee is exposed to the dangers of moving equipment, energized electric circuits, sharp metal edges, and toxic fumes while performing the duties of the position. Exposure to electrical conductors, moving objects, sharp edges, etc., may occur along with danger to cuts, burns, and respiratory ailments. Must wear appropriate safety and protective gear such as hard hat, safety goggles, earplugs, respirator etc. as required.
