National Defense University (NDU) supports the joint warfighter by providing rigorous Joint Professional Military Education to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and select others in order to develop leaders who have the ability to operate and creatively think in an unpredictable and complex world.
Duties
Graphic Design/Production, Visual Information and Web/Electronic Media Design expert responsible for developing, coordinating graphic design and visual media products and implementing a comprehensive visual information program to support NDU.
Reviews/edits final products for format, composition, layout, typography and quality assurance with visual standards. Liaison between the design team and various departments to ensure clear communication/implementation of visual products.
Responsible for managing project details, schedules meetings and consults with customer to determine project scope, design specifications, communication strategy, feasibility, schedules and milestones, costs and other project requirements.
Follows security procedures for classified projects. Completes proper forms and ensures that classified materials are securely and properly stored in designed area.
Performs minor maintenance and troubleshooting of computer workstations, digital printers and other graphic arts equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
- Obtain and maintain Non-Sensitive security clearance.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-11 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as:
design and development of technology-based (interactive multi-media) presentations;
print/digital projects and video teleconferencing; and
planning, organizing, and executing Multimedia department operations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
