You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Supply Branch at the Public Works Business Line (PWBL) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 9.28% will be added to the stated salary.

Duties

You will use an automated system to retrieve data providing supply support. You will analyze financial reports to recommend solutions to supply chain management issues. You will compile and analyze quality data and performance metrics, determine causes, and recommend corrective actions. You will extract data from automated system to identify problems or inconsistency in the ordering of materials. You will measure supply processes to prepare workload and performance metrics reports for the department. You will perform reviews of supply organizations structure to recommend changes that will optimize use of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing support with developing and monitoring the Supply Branch's budget, preparing reports; 2) Responding to data calls, making recommendations to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and timeliness of processes and procedures, and elevating issues; 3) Monitoring required training and advising supervisor and leadership on program requirements, and keep them informed of changes to the programs; 4) Analyzing performance metrics in order to identify process deficiencies, improvements, or anomalies in government or contractor performance and use metrics and data to recommend potential solutions; and 5) Receiving and storing inventory accurately using standard warehousing techniques and operations **NOTE: THIS INFORMATION MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.** Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
