About the Position: This position is located in the Programs Management branch of Planning, Programs, and Project Management Division, Omaha District, US Army Corps of Engineers. The office is located in downtown Omaha, NE, near the Missouri River and the city's wide array of parks, museums, historic sites, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
Duties
Serve as Section Chief, responsible for the direct supervision management and training of multidisciplinary Project Managers and support staff.
With the assistance of the PMs, provide overall program/project management for the assigned Military Reimbursable, Interagency and International Support (IIS) Programs, and the Fuels Section.
Review organizational resources to ensure the program has sufficient man-power to execute the Branch mission.
Prepare Program Management Plans, and coordinate with all PDT members, District, Division, and the federal partner.
Develop and maintain progress reports to monitor the delivery and execution of assigned programs and projects.
Direct staff in developing annual program plans, project management plans and project reports.
Enforce workload acceptance procedures to review initial project assignments to determine adequacy of furnished criteria for successful project execution.
Supervise subordinate multi-disciplinary Project Managers.
Establish priorities and assure timely completion and acceptable quantity and quality of work products.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position requires a financial disclosure OGE-450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience managing Fuels, OR Facilities, Restoration, Sustainment, and Modernization (FRSM), OR Interagency and International Services (IIS) programs;2) Experience in workload management; AND 3) Experience ensuring program/projects are within budget and on schedule.
