About the Position: This position is located at the the Soldier Support Institute, Adjutant General School located at Fort Jackson, SC.
This is a development position.
This position is a Term position and can be extended up to a maximum of six years.
Army employees who accept a time-limited appointments (to include employees with personal competitive status) will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended.
Duties
Serves as a training instructor using knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of training and education.
Designs and develop training on the Retail Systems Software system and other related postal applications in Inter-service Postal Training Activity (IPTA) Plans of Instruction (POIs).
Serves as training developer using technical knowledge of Training and Doctrine Command doctrine, theories, principles, practices, and techniques of training related to the Postal Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
Designs and develops entire training programs in subject specialty areas of Military Postal Operations/Management training materials include lesson plans, practice exercises, training modules, learning activities, job aids and multimedia instruction.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) performing the full scope of personnel administration activities; 2) providing platform and practical instructions to personnel assigned to the department; 3) maintaining responsibility for all classrooms, materials, and equipment for both primary and assistant instructors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Education.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
