You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the Public Works Directorate of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. You will be overseeing the Metro San Diego Call Center.

Duties

You will develop corrective actions during phases of programming, budgeting, and execution process for assigned projects You will monitor production operations to determine if production is proceeding according to schedule You will use production principles (e.g., planning, estimating, funding, scheduling, parts procurement, shop loading) to facilitate production operations You will assess production staff training and experience levels to determine, assign, or schedule on-the-job-training. You will respond to inquiries regarding production status, schedule delays, and planned resolutions. You will evaluate workload requirements, master repair schedules, and available production resources to determine adjustments needed in schedules, workload priorities, completion dates, or allocation of material, machines, and man hours.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes during on-site visits.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ??????? 1) Developing master project schedule and balance resources to meet performance measures for in house projects; 2) Developing and reviewing schedules and reports to ensure quality and consistency while assigning and monitoring workload to ensure all work is completed in a professional and timely manner; 3) Reviewing and modifying office procedures as necessary to confirm efficient operation and skill while ensuring Maximo and MS Project data is current and accurate; 4) Mentoring, encouraging, providing one-on-one training, and developing subordinates; 5) Carrying out EEO policies and communicating support of these policies to subordinates; 6) Coordinating the schedules and resource requirements with various groups to ensure compliance to start and completion dates and quality and timely services are provided.
