About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill an Interdisciplinary position. An ideal candidate will have strong experience in processing complex Department of Army permits, with in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and have the skills to work with many varied stakeholders (i.e. excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills; detail-orientated; a passion for helping others; and exceptional customer service skills).

Duties

Serve as a project manager with technical expertise to evaluate all levels and types of Department of the Army (DA) permit applications, compliance, and/or enforcement cases. Facilitate the management of the section permit workload including pre-application consultation, evaluation of applications, and monitoring of permit compliance. Facilitate the management of the section enforcement workload by personally conducting or managing the investigation of unauthorized work and developing and determining the resolution of enforcement actions. Prepare accurate and detailed environmental assessments, and factual photographic litigation materials; and/or prepare jurisdictional determinations.
