About the Position: Serves as Senior Operations Specialist within Operations and Plans Section, Business Management Division, Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). Orchestrates the development, planning, and integration of comprehensive operations and plans programs. As subject matter expert, advises and negotiates SAMD operational requirements within agency and to external stakeholders within the Security Assistance Enterprise.
Duties
Review and analyze applicable Operation Orders, Strategic Plans and directives issued by U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM and United States Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC).
Develop 7600A Support Agreements for financial transactions between the directorate and other organizations.
Prepare operational briefings for the director to support the USASAC Synchronization Integration Forum (SIF) and Commander Update Brief (CUB).
Oversees projects, taskings, actions, and programs that impact the International Program Managers
Assist in Operations by identifying training needs and arranges for security assistance developmental training.
Execute strategic planning guidance for the directorate and submit the required reports to higher headquarters within the scheduled battle rhythm.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance during the duration of employment.
- You may be expected to travel up to 25% or less for this position.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level: SC Case Life Cycle Management (AOC) - Basic Level.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. One year of specialized which includes extensive background and experience of analyzing the operational and plans of security assistance policies and regulations; coordinating security assistance requirements between the Security Assistance Management Directorate International Program Managers, and United States Army Security Assistance Command Country Program Managers; and experience working with Task Management Tool (TMT) to review and analyze tasking requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some positions allow substitution of education for experience. At this grade level, you must qualify on experience alone, no substitution of education is allowed.
