About the Position: This Inspector General is located at U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command Headquarter, Office of Inspector General Directorate with Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland. U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) provides direct support to Army Futures Command and relevant, timely information to senior Army leader to make future force decisions enabling Multi-Domain Operations through rigorous developmental testing and independent operational tests and evaluations.

Duties

Serves as an Inspector General (IG) in the Office of the Inspector General under the direction of the Command Inspector General. As an IG provides assistance and advice in the full range of IG programs for all ATEC personnel located across the Army. Conducts inquiries into and prepares replies to Department of Army Inspector General Performs Inquiries and Investigations into complaints brought to the Department of Army Inspector General Plans and coordinates compliance, systemic and follow-up inspections of ATEC and subordinate commands Perform organizational assessments, sensing sessions and command surveys.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • IAW with Army Regulation (AR) 20-1, incumbent must successfully complete a three-week US Army Inspector General Course with 90 days of employment for continued employment and maintain certification
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% TDY of the time.
  • This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Test Program.
  • Incumbent must be willing to take the Inspector General’s oath of Office.
  • AR 20-1, Appendix 4b (1) Applicants referred for consideration will be subject to a database check against Army IGARS database to screen for substantiated and ongoing IG investigations.
