About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Duties
Assure personnel are informed and trained on the appropriate supply procedures.
Assist in the preparation of studies relating to status of stock funds, financial reports, etc.
Determine which methods to follow on pending supply actions to assure expeditious and completion of transaction.
Identify changes to supply manuals or procedures which may affect maintenance material management functional responsibilities.
Provide supply principles, concepts, and methodologies of inventory management to employees and appropriate personnel.
Determine when replenishment or initial supply action needs to be initiated to ensure the availability of stocks to meet the required demands.
Recommend plans for corrective measures on deficient performance pertaining to supply inventory management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
- Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
- Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
- Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service which includes applying supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in inventory management; conducting a variety of management studies and/or surveys; accumulating, analyzing and reporting data associated with the compliance and control of supply inventory accounts; OR resolving or improving efficiency and effectiveness of organizational needs for supplies.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
