Duties
Install, modify, construct, maintain and repair equipment. Repair, overhaul, maintain and install industrial/commercial HVAC components and equipment assemblies to ensure proper safety, maintenance, and operation of facilities.
Install, troubleshoot, modify, maintain and repair complex building automation controls.
Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring systems, related switching equipment, distribution panels and outlet boxes, lighting systems, and a wide variety of electrical fixtures, tools, and appliances.
Use blueprints, sketches, work order and other specifications to plan and perform work. Maintain, adjust, operate, troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems, boilers, heating systems and life safety devices.
Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits. Splice and connect wires to fixtures, outlets, switches, receptacles, and power sources.
Requirements

- You must possess an EPA Type II Refrigeration Certification, or you must obtain it within one year.
Qualifications
Screen-out Element: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision as indicated by performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to commercial/industrial HVACR systems (commercial industrial heating systems, oil or gas fired boilers; commercial/industrial ventilation systems; and commercial/industrial air conditioning) and possess a valid State driver's license.

There is no specific length of training or experience required; however, you must be able to demonstrate through experience shown in the resume materials, that you possess the skill level that has equipped you with the particular job elements to successfully perform the duties of Maintenance Mechanic without more than normal supervision.

Physical Demands: Work involves frequent standing, bending, climbing, reaching, kneeling, tiring and uncomfortable positions, on scaffolding and platforms, or in hard-to-reach places, tunnels or cramped places. Frequently lifts, moves, pushes, pulls, carries, and set up tools, equipment and parts that weigh in excess of 50 pounds for great distances.
Work Environment: Perform assignments inside, outside, and underground in dirty, dusty, greasy, and noisy places, on intermittently slippery or uneven surfaces, hot and humid places, extreme temperatures to minus 70 degrees, requires strenuous exertion, subject to exhaust fumes, in water or sewage, in inadequately heated or lighted places. May be exposed to moving objects, elevations, sharp edges, broken bones, electrical shock, burns, cuts, bruises, falls and hazards. Occasionally may be required to wear protective equipment and clothing that are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable.
