The position serves as a Program Specialist in the African and Middle Eastern Division (AMED) within General and International Collections Directorate (GICD), Researcher and Collections Services (RCS) Service Unit, in the Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG) at the Library of Congress. This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position. The position description for this position is 445100. This will be an indefinite, not-to-exceed 4 years appointment.

Duties

The incumbent for this position will work a full-time, flextime work schedule.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform project and program management functions.** Ability to serve as a liaison and interact collaboratively with others.** Ability to perform data collection and analysis for program and/or project management. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to plan, organize, and execute work. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
