About the Position: Serves as the Housing Division Chief and the Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) Manager at a large or medium multi-mission installation within the Installation Management Command (IMCOM). Utilizes knowledge of housing, barracks facilities, asset management, and residential development, to engage in the planning, design, revitalization, financing, and improvement of housing, barracks, and related facilities for the purpose of managing these facilities.

Duties

Serves as the Housing Division Chief and the Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) Manager. Oversee acquisition functions for the procurement of supplies and services. Perform inspections on rental property in local community to determine suitability for Army families. Executes coordination and resolves issues between installation stakeholders and the RCI partnership pertaining to primary through Soldier and Family well-being, safety, environment and other installation management services. Manage the Housing budget and other resources. Develop housing management plan for housing functions. Schedule maintenance and repair of Army-owned billeting.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R
