This position is responsible for applying the knowledge and skills required in using heavy-duty equipment ( e.g. heavy-duty power mower, chain saw, jackhammer, forklifts, etc.). Also to work safely with heavy tools ( axe, picks, etc.) Incumbents are also responsible for the maintenance of the grounds of the Medical Center.

Physical Requirements: The incumbent is frequently required to perform heavy lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds. The incumbent is required to perform work such as digging ditches and trenches in extremely hard compacted clay and dirt. Uses have 90-pound jack hammers to break up asphalt and concrete. The incumbent is required to perform work which requires using both hands, standing for long periods of time, walking for long periods of time, mowing, stooping, squatting, etc.
