This is a public notice flyer to notify applicants of anticipated vacancies through DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base in the DoD. Duties

You will conduct visual test (VT) and dimensional evaluation on prepared and fit-up surfaces. You will conduct magnetic particle (MT) inspections of ferromagnetic materials to detect surface/subsurface discontinuities. You will conduct liquid penetrate (PT) inspections to detect surface discontinuities in ferrous and nonferrous materials. You will engage in the manufacture, assembly, disassembly, overhaul, repair, installation and test of ARLE systems and components.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Performing Visual Test (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Magnetic Particle (MT) inspections; 2) Utilizing repair, maintenance, and overhaul of systems and components to complete assigned workload; 3) Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to carry out nondestructive tests; 4) Applying non-destructive test and inspection methods to examine Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE); 5) Engaging in manufacturing, assembly, disassembly, overhaul, repair, installation and test of ALRE systems and components to support product development programs and in-service engineering actions.
