Duties
You will receive and evaluate a variety of both recurring and non-recurring requests from afloat and shore-based commands, to rent cranes services and equipment.
You will prioritize requests, selects and schedules appropriate cranes services or equipment in accordance with available inventories to ensure required service is completed within given deadlines in the most cost-effective manner.
You will enter required information into a logbook at the start and the end of each shift and create "trip tickets".
You will ensure cranes, vehicles, and equipment operators possess the appropriate state and or government license and qualifications for the type of crane, vehicle or equipment assigned.
You will provides appropriate notification to customers in the event of unscheduled work delays to mitigate mission impacts.
You will dispatch a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the Crane and Rigging Services Division Supervisory Cadre.
You will prepare and input Time and Attendance Records (SLDCADA).
You will dispatch vehicles such as cranes, crane crews, stake trucks and tractor-trailer combinations.
You will process, manage and data input various work orders, including hand-rigging support, in accordance with established regulations and guidelines.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1). Independently assigning appropriate cranes, equipment, operators and riggers to accomplish customer requirements in the most cost effective manner. 2). Dispatching and distributing maintenance and work orders for cranes and other related equipment; and 3). Incumbent must be computer literate and have experience with e-mail, spreadsheet, word processing, MAXIMO and Fleet Manager computer programs.
