Duties
Temporary Assignment: To meet agency needs, this position will be filled on a temporary basis not-to-exceed (NTE) one (1) year, with possible extension for an additional one (1) year. You may be returned, at any time, to the position you held prior to this temporary promotion, or to a different position of equivalent grade and pay, and the return is not subject to the procedures found in 5 C.F.R.351, 432, 752, and 771. At management's discretion, you may be permanently placed to this position without further competition based on position availability. The Collection Division manages CBP's strategic activities, develops sound and robust intelligence collection policies, establishes collection processes, and provides multi-disciplined national technical means and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (JSR) collection and analysis. This position starts at a salary of $114,044.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $148,255.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $148,255.00 (GS-13 Step 10).
Major duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) data and producing products in accordance with the Tasking, Collection, Processing Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) process, which supports CBP analytical intelligence needs.
Exploiting Full Motion Video imagery collected by ISR sensors and providing hands-on analysis, producing intelligence on abroad range of issues in support of CBP and DHS national security programs, goals and objectives.
Managing, conducting, and coordinating imagery research and analysis of current and historical imagery in response to internal and external intelligence requirements including imagery from National Technical Means, air breathers, Full Motion Video or civil/commercial sensors.
Participating and collaborating in intelligence working groups and ISR sync meetings to ensure CBP information intelligence requirements are tasked, collected, processed, and disseminated in accordance with customer requirements.
Preparing a variety of soft-copy imagery products to meet project requirements and loading products on appropriate imagery database.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Conducting research and developing special all source imagery-based products in support of tactical, strategic customers and stakeholders.
Providing guidance on imagery techniques and methodologies used in imagery analysis and production.
Collecting information and exchanging basic and vital intelligence information of concern to other agencies, organizations, and within unit.
Preparing and conducting briefings for executive audiences, professional organizations, conferences, and civic groups as required.

You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 11/15/2023.

Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment.
