Duties

This position serves as a Strategic Engagement and Outreach Planner to the Assistant Commissioner of OI, and is responsible for ensuring that OI is equipped with relevant strategies and business processes to guide the direction of the office, as well as to inform the decisions of the OI leadership team. This position starts at a salary of $132,368.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $172,075.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $172,075.00 (GS-14 Step 10). Major Duties Include: Serving as a strategic communications and outreach coordinator to support the Office of Intelligence (OI) on a broad spectrum of strategic initiatives, maximizing OI's outreach efforts with internal and external stakeholders. Developing proposals, policy, and initiatives, suggesting recommended courses of action to drive strategic intelligence conversations and messaging between OI and internal and external stakeholders, expanding CBP's intelligence to better meet OI's operational customers' intelligence needs. Assembling data, information, and knowledge sources from OI and across the CBP Enterprise to identify and articulate OI's mission needs to OI's partners ensuring that the organization achieves its collective strategic mission priorities. Ensuring OI equities are included and considered in response to strategic communications and requirements levied against CBP. Planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and representing OI in briefings with both internal and external senior stakeholders, informing them of the progress of important OI strategic initiatives, ensuring the success of OI's priority program objectives, and assisting to facilitate the success of OI's programmatic initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Applying a wide range of administrative, laws, policies, practices and analytical diagnostic methods and techniques. Planning or assisting in designing, scheduling, and carrying out programs, major projects, or studies in support of organizational effectiveness. Developing concepts, strategies, plans, goals and objectives for the short and long-range implementation of programs. Analyzing and formulating organizational requirements for resource management. Providing recommendations on changes to processes, policies and procedures to improve administration efficiency.
