About the Position: The position is located at the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Program Manager Light Armored Vehicles, (PM LAV) in Warren, MI. PM LAV is a U.S. Marine Corps Board Select 0-6 Program staffed by Department of Army Acquisition Professionals. The Program Office is a direct support to the Marine Corps Program Executive Office Land Systems. This office performs all acquisition functions for life cycle support.

Duties

Provides guidance and assistance to support to all phases of the hiring process. Manages databases for the purpose of registering courses, entering course rosters, overseeing employee certifications, etc. Responsible for travel authorizations, vouchers and government travel card oversight for Program Manager, Light Armored Vehicles (PMLAV) organization travelers. Serves as an Automated Time, Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS) timekeeper. Serves as a government purchase card holder.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) 10% or more may be required.

General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01/GS-04 grade level, which includes work such as: utilizing automated systems to create or process personnel actions; managing a training database to coordinate training courses for employees; making travel arrangements/authorizations (in systems such as: Defense Travel System)/vouchers; and reviewing travel authorizations/vouchers to ensure timely and efficient accomplishment of mission and objectives. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational DevelopmentPersonnel and Human ResourcesProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-01/GS-04).
