About the Position: This position is located in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) under the policy guidance and direction of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD (HA)). There is one vacancy in either Falls Church, VA OR San Antonio, TX. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Consult with requestors to recommend the best format, colors and lettering to influence their audience. Provide final versions to meet customer specifications and works with PSP staff to post and/or print as required. Provide guidance to staff and clerical personnel on correspondence matters in an effort to ensure quality and conformance to directives. Utilize computers with word processing, spreadsheet, data base, graphics design software and printing equipment to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve and print a variety of documents. Edits all outgoing correspondence and publications to ensure all issues are addressed, replies are complete and concise and rewrites or alerts signatory of problems identified.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
