This position is located in the Resident Services Directorate, Recreational Services Division. The incumbent is to serve as Supervisor, with responsibility for the overall diverse programming, financial and personnel management of the division's facilities and programs offered to the Home residents, employees and guests.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-12: One year of experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes: - Creating, implementing and advertising a wide range of recreational programs in a healthcare environment; AND - Establishing and operating a financial budget with numerous cost centers; AND - Overseeing staff (e.g. develop performance standards, disciplinary issues, and/or schedules) For the GS-11: One year of experience at the GS-9 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes: - Proposing and planning new recreational promotion ideas along with utilizing advertising for programs; AND - Acting as a liaison for community agencies, volunteers, and /or donations; AND - Aiding in preparing budget for new recreation interests and costs. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeor3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks For the GS-11, you must have been at the GS-9 level for 52 weeks Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
