About the Position: Serves as Chief, Basic Petroleum Logistics Training Division and Course Manager, for Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 92F10 Petroleum Supply Specialist and 1391 Bulk Fuel Specialist (USMC) comprised thirty-one classrooms and fifty-five acres of training area conducting tactical petroleum terminal operations, pipeline operations, aviation refueling operations, ground refueling operations and tanker operations.
Duties
Serves as a first-line supervisor, exercising the full range of personnel management responsibilities over subordinate positions. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for work completion.
Incumbent receives general supervision from the Director who: (1) provides, policy and program guidance; (2) renders advice and/or decisions on the more complex matters, procedures, and regulations, and (3) reviews work for overall adequacy.
Directs oversight of a work force of military and civilian instructors within two subordinate branches who are directly responsible for the instruction in basic, advanced, and applied theoretical principles and techniques.
Incumbent is responsible for course development/training accomplishment/evaluation, to include, management, instructional support, operations, resource allocation and maintenance.
Responsible for TRADOC's Army Virtual Learning Education program implementation and evolution within the division's curriculum.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
