Duty Location: Willows, California
Duties
Performs supply, receiving, property management, fleet management, equipment maintenance, and procurement duties for the Willows Construction Office (WCO).
Researches, recommends, advises, requisitions, and maintains a comprehensive stock of supplies, equipment, tools, safety gear, laboratory test equipment and materials used on construction projects.
Oversees purchase orders.
Determines proper storage methods of items received.
Manages the physical receipt and issuance of property.
Identifies old and outdated equipment and determines appropriate method of disposal.
Manages annual inventory of accountable and sensitive personal property.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in federal service having demonstrated experience receiving and storing supplies and materials; utilizing computer-based programs to maintain and inventory property; receiving, unloading, and processing incoming furniture, supplies and equipment and/or answering customer questions regarding supplies and materials. You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having full 4-year course of study, from an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree. You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience.
