You will serve as a General Equipment Inspector in the Material Control Branch of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.
Duties
You will inspect a wide variety of items procured by contract or purchase orders.
You will refer to specifications, manuals, commercial literature, and qualified technicians.
You will use Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) to offload material (i.e., small packages and freight) that is delivered to the central receiving warehouse.
You will process and sort received material, and stage it for delivery to end-users.
You will keep track of all materials received and inspected for NRL through the Incoming Material Tracking System (IMTS).
You will be responsible for the receiving and inspection of material and equipment peculiar to the needs of research and engineering mission of NRL.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
