About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. CCAD is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.
Duties
Lead a branch of quality control inspectors responsible for inspection of helicopter rotor heads, rotor controls and a variety of aircraft transmissions, gear boxes, other power train assemblies.
Make assignments to subordinates and establish timelines.
Check work in progress and when finished, check for compliance with supervisor's instructions.
Inform supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Aircraft Mechanical Parts Repair Inspector Leader without more than normal supervision. Your resume must reflect the ability to lead or supervise and have experience including: Performing journeyman level work to disassemble and assemble rotor heads, rotor controls, rotor blades, a variety of aircraft transmissions, gear boxes, and/or other power train assemblies; Participating in quality audits and process reviews to recommend corrective actions and/or improvements; Providing technical direction and assistance to others in performing these tasks.
