About the Position: This position is Secretary for the Corps of Engineering, South Atlantic Regional Business Directorate (SAD). Serves as the principal executive-level administrative assistant and secretarial support to the Directorate. The incumbent reports directly to the Senior Executive of the Directorate.
Duties
Plan and accomplishes routine as well as non-routine administrative procedural work.
Serve as Directorate Division Chief’s timekeeper. Ensures all hours worked and leave taken, overtime requests; maintains time and leave files; and executes labor report via CEFMS.
Prepare travel requests, vouchers and reports, and contact travelers en-route to relay information.
Review all outgoing correspondence referred to the Division Chief(s), Director(s) or Commander for signature is factually correct, procedurally and grammatically accurate and complies with policies, regulations, and directives.
Compose replies to correspondence involving administrative matters and those matters that are non-technical.
Maintain the Director’s calendar of appointments and conferences. Applies knowledge of priorities, commitments, program goals and desires in scheduling and/or changing appointments and meetings.
Attend Executive-level meetings. Takes notes during meetings, follows-up and monitors assigned tasks.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience in a variety of administrative support functions such as timekeeping, travel, filing, property management, etc. Experience in the use of automated systems to accomplish tasks such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, timekeeping databases, financial databases.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07 or above).
