Duties
You will direct and provide 1st line supervision to maintenance management personnel, monitor programs, policies, and procedures, and analyze maintenance and maintenance management functional areas.
You will coordinate and supervise reconciliation procedures between Maintenance management Officer (MMO) and Supply, and each maintenance section.
You will provide advice, guidance, and assistance to the maintenance personnel including acquisition, movement, distribution, evacuation, and disposition of insufficient or damaged material.
You will monitor current maintenance Automated Information Systems (AIS) and Maintenance Production Reports (MPR).
You will perform supervisory duties such as on the job training (OJT), develop and document employee performance plans and other related tasks.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and conducting detailed maintenance related inspections to ensure effective and safe maintenance operations and equipment readiness; and knowledge of program planning, funding, maintenance resourcing and management information systems; experience identifying inconsistencies and administer corrective actions required to maintain current maintenance automated information system transactions; and knowledge of maintenance and supply procedures as they relate to a major maintenance facility.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the GS-11 position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
