In this position you will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) for Region One, Recovery Division, Public Assistance Branch.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the IC-11 level (starting salary $77,738), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Facilitating the delivery of Public Assistance programs or similar grant programs on behalf of internal and/or external customers, Compiling and analyzing data for financial inspection and financial reconciliation of grant programs; and, Conducting research and developing reports using computer information systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level (starting salary $93,175), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Interpreting and/or applying laws, regulations, and policies related to grant management operations, Administering contracts to determine compliance with public assistance program or similar grant program; and, Conducting financial reconciliation or audits of grant programs.
