The employee will serve as the Program Support Assistant in the Biomedical Engineering department at the Lebanon VA Medical Center in Lebanon, PA.
Duties

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
Performs office automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics.
Collects, assembles and compiles data for administrative and management reports.
Collects, compiles and/or tracks data and statistical information.
Edits, composes and review letters and reports for accuracy and completeness.
Performs audits of current processes in regard to current medical center memorandums.
Designs queries and custom report generation.
Designs, develops and manages the performance improvement indicators on medical equipment.
Maintains budget records and assures that funds are used in accordance with the operating budget.
Checks for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations and justification for payment.
Uses spreadsheet software to develop and change spreadsheets in order to graphically display data.
Receives, processes and reviews documents and reports.
Performs other tasks as required.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: performing office automation duties using such software applications, word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database, and/or graphic; editing, composing and reviewing letters and reports; maintaining budget records; and collecting, compiling and/or tracking data and statistical information.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary; however, walking, stooping and bending and the carrying of light items such as paper and manuals is required. Duties also require mental concentration and alertness.
