This position is located at CSMS #2 in Austin, Texas. The purpose of this position is to serve as a working leader of three or more Electronics Mechanics, WG-2604-10. Performs duties such as field and limited sustainment maintenance and repair on moderately complex electronics equipment and systems. Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower-graded workers. Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience Required: To qualify at the WL-11 grade level, your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting at least 24 months experience or training in the following: initializing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic systems or equipment, AND experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems, AND experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. AND Experience in using complex test equipment such as deviation meters, complex special test panels, etc, AND experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications, AND, in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel, AND experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines, AND experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function, AND experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes, AND experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
