The position is located in the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH) organization and may be assigned to a geographical location under the purview of ASH. This position serves under the Chief-of-Staff within the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH) organization.
Duties
The Security Programs Specialist serves as the principal advisor to the Chief of Staff, and other senior executives and directors on matters related to the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned security, operational, and administrative programs, policies, standards, and workforce engagement activities. As a recognized technical expert and strategic planner, the incumbent provides leadership for developing and implementing key strategies and priorities that support the vision and mission of the ASH organization.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience is defined as:Experience developing, implementing or evaluating security and/or administrative programs; AND leading projects that are time-sensitive; AND analyzing and interpreting data to support decision-making, researching and developing guidance for a diverse audience; AND developing short and long-range strategic business and workforce engagement plans.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
