This position is located in the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs, Office of Indian Economic Development (OIED), Division of Capital Investment (DCI). The mission is to support American Indian / Alaska Native communities by providing access and utilization of financial resources for economic development. As Loan Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for strengthening, administering, and delivering DCI's programs and services.

Qualifications
GS-12: To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level performing ALL of the following: 1) experience in loan processing; 2) experience in credit analysis; 3) loan underwriting; and 4) customer service; and 5) time management skills.
GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing ALL of the following: 1) experience in loan processing; 2) experience in credit analysis; 3) loan underwriting; 4) customer service; 5) time management skills; and 6) familiar with commercial lending practices.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
