Duties
As a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR, WG-5703-8, you will:
This position is located in the Distribution Section of the Deployment and Distribution Flight, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, at an ANG Aviation Wing. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties relating to materiel distribution activities, including organic ground transportation for cargo and personnel.

- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Qualifications
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following AFSC upon date of hire: AFSC 2F0X1, 2T0X1, 2T1X1, 2T3X0, 2T3X7. Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or at the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Enlisted Service Members up to E8/SMSgt may apply. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 12 months experience in the KSAs listed below. Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to operate one or more motor vehicles including platform trucks, van trucks, fuel trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, and trash removal trucks which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 11,700 kilograms (26,000 pounds) and up to 14,400 kilograms (less than 32,000 pounds). Experience operating vehicles and tractors, some of which may be equipped with special-purpose powered equipment. Experience operating platform, van, stake and dump trucks, refueling vehicles passenger buses or ambulance buses.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training.
Knowledge of industry practices and procedures and established regulations, requirements, and techniques related to the transportation program.
Skill and knowledge in driving vehicles without mishap in complicated traffic situations.
Skill to remain attentive and maintain a defensive attitude while making interstate drives at highway speeds for extended periods, often at night.
Skill in operating one or more motor vehicles including platform trucks, van trucks, fuel trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, and trash removal trucks which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 11,700 kilograms (26,000 pounds) and up to 14,400 kilograms (less than 32,000 pounds).
** NOTE ** This is a temporary appointment with Indefinite tenure. Management reserves the right to convert this appointment to a permanent position without further competition and will discuss this option with applicants selected for interviews. Person selected for the position may be terminated at any time, upon 30-day written notice. If an On-Board, Title 5, Excepted Service Employee is selected for this position, their status will change to that of this appointment, and they will not be returned to their permanent position.
