Duties
Develop representative network/system characterizations and mathematical models using appropriate methods to fill information shortfalls/ensure optimal depiction of real world. Identify critical elements/vulnerabilities, prioritize targets for engagement to meet specific objectives, and provide qualitative and/or quantitative estimations of effectiveness of recommended engagement options.
Prepare, produce and deliver timely, relevant, and technically accurate targeting products including the respective methodologies, assumptions, conclusions, and recommendations to the customer. Prepare and deliver comprehensive, formal and informal briefings to customers and command senior leadership.
Present and defend methodologies and analytical results within and outside of the organization. Document any new or improved development, concepts, techniques, etc. Provide expertise to other analysts, scientists, engineers, managers, contractors, and other collaborative partners.
Explore, develop, evaluate and/or operationalize new technologies and capabilities to improve analytical quality, technical content, presentation and delivery of targeting products. Develop innovative and useful approaches for improving or expanding methodologies, models, products and services, including technically advancing the rigor of products using advanced analytical methods and structured problem-solving techniques. Improve business processes and reduce product cycle times, without sacrificing technical rigor or quality. Identify and apply best practices from government, industry or academia to strengthen JWAC's analytical position. Build effective collaborative networks and alliances with key peers and stakeholders across the Operations and Intelligence Communities.
Actively engage these peers and stakeholders, involve them in key tasks and decisions, and effectively leverage the social networks and alliances to achieve value-added results. Represent the command externally to foster collaboration and promote understanding of the command, its mission and respective capabilities. Collaborate across discipline and organizational boundaries to achieve and/or enhance organization efficiencies.

- Telework may be authorized.

- Position is subject to polygraph testing.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing program. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

For DR-I: You must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent in other pay systems that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized Experience?is defined as work in the private or public sector performing duties in or related to the work of the position being filled. Examples of specialized experience include understanding of methods and practices in identifying, formulating, evaluating, nurturing and promoting the generation and exchange of new theories, concepts, principles, methods, applications, and practices related to communications; experience applying quantitative and qualitative analysis and investigative techniques in order to synthesize data, evaluate significant factors, and make inferences AND using programming languages such as R and Python related to communications; application of mathematical and statistical theories related to communications.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the DR-1/GS-07/9/11 broadband position in the federal service.
For DR-II: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to DR-1/GS-11 level in the Federal service or equivalent in other pay systems that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience include comprehensive knowledge and mastery of methods and practices in identifying, formulating, evaluating, nurturing and promoting the generation and exchange of new theories, concepts, principles, methods, applications, and practices related to communications; mastery in utilizing programming languages such as Python and R to develop custom solutions to analytical problems related to communications. Candidates should also display mastery in applying systems thinking concepts and techniques and quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques related to communications.
