About the Position: This position administers Programs of Limited Coordinated CECOM Specifications, Packaging of Specifications and initiates and issues CECOM Packaging Directives, to CONUS areas, establishing packaging policies and procedures for the implementation of directives to counteract problems encountered in Depot packaging activities
Duties
Responsible for implementation of new or revised procedures and policies relative to preservation of packaging, packing marking and packaging testing functions
Serve on Army task groups to discuss and resolve problems, common to Army activities relative to research and development of packaging materials and their application
Coordinate accomplishment of special projects and programs with higher echelon or other DOD elements
Process packaging Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs) and seeks disposition and resolution
Requirements

- One year probationary period, unless already completed

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade or band in the federal service which includes: 1) Develop detailed designs of preservation and packaging for material; and 2) Prepare container designs in accordance with item characteristics, material and tolerances; and 3) Furnish advice and information relative to these matters to assure that materiel developed will have packaging and packing produced in accordance with requirements.
