The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Located on New York City's Museum Mile, in the historic Carnegie Mansion and Garden, Cooper Hewitt is the only museum in the United States devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design.

Duties

The Facilities Services Worker Supervisor is responsible for supervising all loading dock activities, motor vehicle operations, and facilities services.

Requirements

• Requires career/career-conditional status or eligibility.
• Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered with Selective Service.
• May be required to serve an 18-month probationary period for supervisors.

Your overall experience and training must indicate that you have the minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed to perform the duties of this position.  There is no substitution of education for experience for this position.
