About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist and Army Materiel Command (AMC) Staff Manager for the Army War Reserve Program.
Duties
Coordinate transition of equipment and operations of Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) Sites within Army enterprise.
Coordinate with Army force management, to identify brigade combat force structure and identify weapons systems and equipment configuration requirements.
Develop procedures, systems, and methods for conducting comprehensive logistics readiness evaluation studies.
Provide input to develop logistics war reserve reporting formats, data requirements, and utilize automated logistics readiness reporting systems to track, monitor, and control readiness.
Provide briefings to all stakeholders on program projects and equipment sets.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain secret security clearance.
- Acquisition certification, Life Cycle Logistics, Advanced, within 3 years of job entry.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves the following developing operating procedures and implementing instructions to maintain military weapons and equipment; draft policy and regulation changes to modify reporting methods and techniques pertaining to military weapons and equipment readiness; conduct weapon and equipment readiness briefings; Assist in develop automated logistics readiness reporting systems; and coordinate transition of military weapons and equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
