You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBER SECURITY BRANCH in the ACIO/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION of the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $145,617).

Duties

You will serve as the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Cyber Workforce Program Manager (CWF-PM), responsible for the administration of organization's Cyber IT/CWF Program. You will coordinate all activities associated with the cyber-security workforce (CWF), including tracking, monitoring, and coordinating required training activities. You will be accountable for the reporting, database management, and overall effectiveness of the program and commands and/or subordinate units. You will interface and participate in activities with Echelon II and high authorities as it relates to the CWF Program and compliance. You will provide expert advice in the assigned technical area, resolving difficult and precedent setting problems. You will support higher level supervisors in establishing priorities, monitoring costs and provides information to help determine future requirements and training resources as it pertains to the CSWF Program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Technical Support Spec level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector administering or managing Information Technology systems and access to include leading in the assessment, development, or implementation of Cyber Security or Information Assurance requirements while ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations.
