Duties
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, Assistant Administrator -HQ Operations/Regulations and Rulings Division.
As a Supervisory Regulations Specialist, you will:
Conduct continuing reviews of the effectiveness of the Division's regulatory initiative/rule-making programs
Develop measurement criteria for assessing the effectiveness of Team program managers and program coordinators
Oversee day-to-day operations of Team program managers and program coordinators
Plan and coordinate regulatory initiative/rulemaking programs and coordinate the work of program managers and program coordinators involved in regulatory writing and rule-making projects, activities and issues
Plan and develop performance measures to ensure efficiency and economy of Team program managers and program coordinators
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Initiating and conducting policy analyses to determine if new or revised Federal or State regulations, rulings, directives, or public use documents are necessary to: implement legislation, respond to technical changes, or increase the effectiveness of policies and programs relating to a regulated industry; AND
Drafting or substantively reviewing and editing, prior to publication, Federal regulatory documents that are published in the Federal Register, or the State equivalent; AND
Supervising or overseeing the work of others, including review of their work products.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
