Duties
Serves as the Supervisor of the IT Branch, supervising a team of specialists performing Systems Administration and the delivery of Information Technology.
Formulates and publishes technical guidance and standard operating procedures for IT specialists; and ensures that supplies, equipment and other materials are available.
Develops network usage policies and procedures. Provides advice and guidance to managers and customers on a wide variety of applications, operating systems, protocols, and equipment used in providing information technology customer support services.
Develops performance management plans and performance measurement methods and tools. Applies methods for identifying and resolving IT workforce issues. Develops goals and objectives to support the organization's Information Technology Strategic Plan.
Supervises assigned staff, defines organizational objectives and specific goals of the subordinate IM element, plans short-range and long-range work to be accomplished, and adjusts long-range schedules.
Requirements

- Within 6 months of hire must obtain a Comptia Security+ Certification.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
One (1) year specialized system installation and programming experience sufficient to demonstrate knowledge and skill in all of areas below:
IT theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods.
IT policy and planning concepts and practices.
Interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines.
Methods, approaches, and practices for managing communities of interest involved in development and implementation of IT architectures, investment planning, e-government, and other IT related legislative and policy initiatives.
Highly Preferred Criteria:
Possess one (1) year Family Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) work experience.
Possess two (2) years of Information Technology troubleshooting experience.
