This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), Division of Information Technology, Chief Data Officer Staff, Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides expertise in enterprise data management, cloud data management and advanced data analytics, and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML).

Duties
Supports the development of detailed migration strategies that support agile movement of data from FDIC legacy environments, including on premise and mainframe architectures, to modern hybrid multi-cloud environments within the restrictions of a Federal government IT environment.
Defines enterprise cloud data management capabilities and processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new data to drive business innovation throughout the organization.
Supports Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO) and Chief Data Officer Staff (CDOS) stakeholders to develop architectures, governance, and technologies to implement modern, cloud-based, foundational, data management and data analytic / artificial intelligence & machine learning (AI/ML) capabilities and ensures a holistic, enterprise approach is taken that enables the FDIC and IT organization to become more agile, innovative, and responsive to business needs.
Provides guidance on the development and implementation of the corporate information architecture and transformation roadmap that leverages FDIC’s target state Data Ecosystem including enterprise data management and data governance.
Maintain awareness of data, analytics, and cloud strategies employed by other Federal agencies and private sector firms to identify opportunities and practices that would benefit the FDIC.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You must have Information Technology (IT)-related experience which demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies:

To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience supporting and implement enterprise cloud data management capabilities, enterprise data architectures, enterprise data practices, and enterprise data analytic capabilities using modern cloud based techniques.
